Additional Featured Images - the Flatirons of Boulder, CO      Welcome to R. Joseph Dunn Photography - Images of America's Western Landscapes.  I focus mostly on nature photography in my home state of Colorado, and neighboring western states. The images on this site range from broad, sweeping scenics to the most intimate, simple nature scenes.  The currently featured photograph was made on Forest Service Road 265, south of McClure Pass.  A chilly autumn morning turned dramatic as thunderstorms moved north across partially obscured Chair Mountain and Ragged Peak, with views of the Snowmass Wilderness in the distance.  Even with 15-second exposures to increase the odds of recording the infrequent lightning, it took over 100 shots to capture this perfectly placed strike.  Although photography is not my full-time occupation, the prints that are available for purchase on this site are  of the highest professional quality - from the exposure, to the scanning to the final print.  Whether ordering professionally-printed LightJet prints or economical digital inkjet prints, every image and final print is meticulously prepared and inspected.  Comments and questions are always welcome; don't hesitate to e-mail me at rick@rickdunn.net.
